Pregnancy Calendar: You are now 25 weeks pregnant
Week 25 of fetal development
Your growing uterus will push the diaphragm and lower ribs up, making you breathless on and off. The uterus also displaces your stomach, causing a backflow of stomach acid into your food pipe, resulting in heartburn, particularly after a heavy meal.
Your doctor can hear the baby’s heart beat. Sex differentiation in your baby is being completed. The testes start to descend into the scrotum in males, and the vagina hollows out in the female. The baby can make a fist now.
Dos and Don’ts
Eat small frequent nutritious meals to avoid heartburn.
Change your posture if you feel breathless.
Avoid sitting for a long time.
