30 weeks old fetus (baby)

Week 30 of fetal development

Your discomfort may be increasing every day as you become larger. Since you are in the premature labour zone, lead a relaxing life style.

Your baby

Your baby weighs around 1400 gm and continues to get fatter and plumper. Your baby is becoming more aware and feels the Braxton Hicks contractions. Fortunately, the baby is protected by the cushioning effect of the amniotic fluid.

Dos and Don’ts

  • Take the second dose of tetanus toxoid injection.
  • Avoid long journeys or strenuous activities to prevent premature labour.
  • Roll on to your side before getting up from a prone position.
