You may feel irregular, painless contractions of uterus. These are called Braxton Hicks contraction and this is part of your uterus’ training for labour. You can feel them if you put your hand on your abdomen as the uterus become hard during contractions.

Your baby

The baby looks red and wrinkled inspite of fat deposition and gaining weight. Your baby’s movements are becoming more vigorous. Baby continues to swallow small amount of amniotic fluid and recycle some of it as urine. Previously the baby could only put the thumb in the mouth, but now she can suck it for real.

  • You may develop backache as the growing uterus may pull the back ligaments.
  • Keep your back straight and don’t bend. Don’t wear high heel shoes.
  • Eat sensibly low calorie balanced meal.
  • Go for regular antenatal check up.
